Are Quadrant Algarve Yacht Charters registered?
Quadrant Algarve Yacht Charters are registered with Turismo De Portugal, License RNAAT Registo nº: 344/2022, and adhere to all their comprehensive rulings and safety codes.
What are your licensing requirements?
We are required to have an annual mechanical inspection and, every year and every second year, a complete out-of-water vessel inspection of safety equipment on board, such as flares, life vests, liferafts, first aid kits, and other equipment that meets the legal requirements.
What insurance and certification do you have?
We are obligated to provide details of all indemnity and boat insurance to the authorities and prove they're kept up to date. These and the commercial operator's certificate must be kept on board and are available for all to verify.
What are our responsibilities?
As we are a skippered charter, it is our responsibility to keep the boat and all on board safe; however, you are responsible for your own actions and those of your group.
How many Lifevests do you have on board?
Onboard, we need to carry a total complement of life vests equal to the capacity of the boat (in our case, 10, 8 passengers and two crew) plus an extra two for child sizes. We carry this compliment plus more, including infant jackets.
Are babies and infants counted as part of the total capacity allowed?
Yes. The number is calculated with the total number of people on board.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. All pricing on the site is all-inclusive of the crew, fuel, and local tax. Half-day, Full-day, and Night Charters' food is included. Also, white wine, beer, a variety of soft drinks, and water are provided within the price.
What about Long Charters?
We'll sort out all the drinks, coffee and breakfast stuff. But as long charters are normally a mixture of marina stays and anchoring, we'll talk about arranging and pricing for onboard provisioning. Just so you know, we'll add on marina fees for any other marinas you use, apart from our home base in the Marina de Lagos.
Half and Full-Day charters can be cancelled with a full refund up to 24 hours before departure. For night and Long Charters, we will require a 48-hour notice. For those who do not show up for their charter without prior communication, there is no refund.
Weather cancellation?
In the case of meteorological conditions not allowing us to proceed with the charter, we will work with you to reschedule. In case this is not possible, a full refund will be given.
What personal documents do we need to bring?
It is always advised to bring along some personal ID, but specifically for long charters, it will be required for marina check-ins along the route.
Can we bring food and drinks on board?
Of course, you can. However, as mentioned above, for Half, Full, and Night charters, food is included.
What about dietary allergies and restrictions?
Please advise us of any dietary needs we need to take into account for the supplied food.
