Are Quadrant Algarve Yacht Charters registered and licensed?

Yes. Quadrant Algarve Yacht Charters is registered with Turismo de Portugal, RNAAT Registo no. 344/2022. The vessel undergoes annual mechanical inspections and biennial out-of-water safety inspections. All insurance and certification documents are kept onboard and available for inspection.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. All pricing is all-inclusive: crew, skipper, fuel, food, drinks, SUP boards, snorkelling gear, and local tax are included. Night and multi-day charter guests should note that marina fees at ports other than Lagos Marina are charged additionally.

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Half-day and full-day charters can be cancelled with a full refund up to 24 hours before departure. Night and multi-day charters require 48 hours notice for a full refund. No refund is given for no-shows without prior communication. If weather prevents the charter from proceeding, a full refund or reschedule is offered.

What happens if there is no wind on the day of my charter?

Accepted Answer

Quadrant Algarve offers a wind guarantee. If no wind is forecast for your sailing booking, the team will proactively contact you to reschedule within your stay in the Algarve. If rescheduling is not possible, your deposit will be refunded.

Question 5

How many guests can join a charter?

Accepted Answer

Half-day, 5-hour, and full-day charters accommodate up to 8 guests. Night charters and multi-day sailing holidays are limited to 6 guests for comfort and safety.

Question 6

Can guests take the helm and sail the yacht themselves?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hands-on sailing is a core part of the Quadrant Algarve experience. Guests of all experience levels, including complete beginners, are encouraged to take the helm under the guidance of the professional skipper.

What food and drinks are included?

Accepted Answer

Half-day and 5-hour charters include a tapas platter, white wine, beer, soft drinks, and water. Full-day charters include lunch, wine, beer, soft drinks, and water. Night charters include dinner, wine, beer, soft drinks, and water. Multi-day charters include breakfast and drinks. Guests may also bring their own food and drinks on board.

Can you cater for dietary allergies and restrictions?

Yes. Please advise the team of any dietary requirements when booking and they will accommodate them in the supplied food.

Where is the meeting point for charters?

Accepted Answer

All charters depart from Marina de Lagos, Gate E.F.G.H.I, Passeio dos Descobrimentos, 8600-315 Lagos, Portugal. Guests are met at the marina gate by the crew for a safety briefing before boarding Ocean Breeze.

What safety equipment is on board?

Accepted Answer

Ocean Breeze carries a full complement of life vests for all passengers and crew, plus additional child and infant sizes, a liferaft, flares, first aid kit, and all legally required safety equipment. The vessel undergoes annual inspections to verify compliance.
